Queue Wild Drumming! Lion Dance Kick Off

For the first show of this season, the School of Shaolin Kung Fu had the honor of performing a Lion Dance and Kung Fu Demonstration at the Gala New Year’s Dinner at the Radisson Hotel, Roseville, MN.  This Gala was held for visiting Chinese medical scholars attending a Traditional Chinese Medicine conference at the American Academy of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.  Thank you AAAOM for inviting us to help usher in the Year of the Monkey with such a prestigious group of Scholars!! 恭賀新禧!

SiFu stood as our patriarch while the team of two lions, three musicians, a fat headed Buddha, and the Monkey King put on a routine for the energetic crowd.  This act included some weapons forms done by instructors, much to the joy, and sometimes surprise, of those in attendance. A version of this routine will be performed a few more times over the next couple weeks.  The following presentations are open to the public.  We would love to see you there!
